Following my 'Seriously Sony' blog, it has been a full week since I called customer service and I have not received any new codes.
Two days ago an old class-mate of mine that is a huge PS3 user, through Facebook, told me to redeem the code on PSN's site; https://store.sonyen...en-ca/home/main.
I did not know this site existed.
It worked, thank you old class-mate.
Now, after I could not redeem the codes on my PS3, the first thing I tried was to redeem on the website, going to the Playstation site, I expected the site to have a redeem code option, nope, not one in sight, it says PSN and everything, but no redeeming code option, it is just not as convenience as me logging on to xbox.com
Turns out there is a whole separate site just for the PSN store, and it is not even called PSN, you would have to Google something like 'Sony Entertainment Network Store' to get the site.
Not asking for too much, but an automatic download feature like 360's after redeeming codes on a site would be nice as well.
So those with expired codes, even if they got extended and doesn't work on PS3, try it on the site and see how it goes!

I was able to redeem my code and am currently downloading a game.
I had the same problem as others.. entering the code and just getting kicked to the home screen. I looked for solution and found one.
I logged into my SEN account on my computer and entered my redeem code for LEGO Marvel and was able to successfully complete it.
When I logged onto my PS4, I went to the PS Store, found the game and it said 'Purchased' so I hit download and it worked!
So if you have a game code, this is a work around to get your game. I'm sure this would work for the PS+ membership too. From what I've gathered, redeeming codes has been disabled on the PS3/PS4 itself but not from SEN.

EDIT3: The game just finished, so it took about 15 minutes to download and be ready to play. Pretty fast, IMO.
