Map Pack 3 for Call of Duty: World at War is a downloadable content pack released along with the Call of Duty: World at War Patch version 1.6. The patch includes some minor bug fixes along with a few enhancements to improve overall gameplay. The other portion of this download is the Map Pack, installing the patch/map pack 3 will bring you three new competitive multiplayer maps: Battery, Breach, and Revolution. In addition to these competitive multiplayer maps, there is also a new Zombies! multiplayer map that expands the Zombies game. This map is set in a top secret Nazi research facility called Der Riese which is the largest Zombies map to date.

Call of Duty World at War is the last game from the 'Call of Duty' series to be set during World War II. There have been rumors that an upcoming 'Call of Duty' game may return to the theme, but it has been more than eight years since this release and there doesn't seem to be much slowing down of the modern and near future storylines being told in the Black Ops story ark or the newer Ghosts and Advanced Warfare stories.

While there may not be an official 'Call of Duty' game that returns to World War II, there are still some developers working on the game in the modding community which has added textures, hardcore and other features and modifications to the game.

About Call of Duty World at War Map Pack 2

Call of Duty World at War Map Pack 2 is a bundle of new multiplayer maps and components for the World War II first person shooter that was released in the Call of Duty World at War Patch version 1.5. The patch download includes a number of minor tweaks and bug fixes that mostly impact the multiplayer portion of the game and the multiplayer lobby. The new maps and content included with Map Pack 2 are three competitive multiplayer maps - Banzai, Corrosion and Sup Pens!, one new Zombies map and one new weapon for use in Zombies mode. The patch can be downloaded from a number of hosting sites and is included in updated versions of the retail release which can be found on a number digitial distribution services.
